Starting with a conceptual rendering and drawings of what the client was envisioning, Slate worked with the project team to deliver a beautiful rooftop meeting space in downtown LA. The construction method initially proposed would have required weeks of site work, application of chemicals, bolting to the roof, and additional waterproofing. Slate developed from the client renderings, took VIF dims, applied ergonomic detailing, developed production models, and coordinated the install process. This resulted in a panel system with electrical integration that required no heavy tooling or finish application and installed in three days. Outdoor tables and chairs were not part of the project.
